About Us

At Carnegie Mellon University, Alpha Epsilon Delta (AED) brings together students who share a passion for healthcare. Since founding our chapter in 2015, we have built a tight-knit, collaborative community where members support each other academically, professionally, and personally. Our members pursue careers in medicine, nursing, dentistry, and other health fields, and we welcome students from a wide range of majors from biology and engineering to the humanities.

As an honor society and service organization, we focus on helping our members grow into well-rounded healthcare professionals. We emphasize professional development, mentorship, and leadership by offering opportunities in research, volunteering, and campus involvement. Our members actively support one another, build meaningful connections, and prepare for their next steps in healthcare through shared experiences and a strong sense of community.
