About Us
2025-26 TCC Board

Jim Kromka

President

Hello! My name is Jim, and I come from the beautiful city of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Prior to Tepper, I attended Carnegie Mellon's College of Engineering for my undergraduate, then spent five years as a design engineer in surgical robotics. I chose Tepper because of my desire to pivot into consulting and its emphasis on tech. The TCC has been incredibly supportive for me, and I am excited to give back. Outside of school, I love basketball and anything outdoors (most notably hunting and fishing).

Cameron Maxwell

VP of Strategic Planning and Finance

Hi I'm Cameron, an MBA Candidate at Tepper School of Business focused on Strategy and Operations Management. I solve problems creatively through data-informed decision making and cross-functional collaboration. A former Active-Duty Marine Officer, I have 10+ years of domestic and international leadership experience in strategic planning, operations management, process improvement, program management, and logistics. I am excited to lead TCC!

Olivia Demkowicz

VP of Professional Development

Hi, I’m Olivia from Shrewsbury, MA! Before coming to Tepper, I studied Mechanical Engineering and Design, Innovation, Society from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI). Following graduation, I spent four years at Emerson, first in their Leadership Rotational Program and later as a Product Marketing Manager. I decided to come to Tepper to enhance my data analytics skills and explore new opportunities in tech and consulting. The TCC has played a pivotal role in my transition to consulting, offering invaluable support throughout the recruitment process. I’m excited to give back and help future Tepper students navigate their own unique journeys!

Hakyeul Lee

VP of Firm Relations

Hi, my name is Hakyeul! I grew up in both South Korea and the U.S. and studied Chemical Engineering at Georgia Tech. Prior to Tepper, I worked in operations, supply chain, and digital transformation across oil & gas, renewable energy, and manufacturing. Most recently, I managed procurement operations and the setup of a smart factory at a solar manufacturing company. I came to Tepper to strengthen my business acumen and transition into consulting. The TCC was instrumental in providing guidance and structure throughout my recruiting journey, and I’m excited to give back and support future consulting candidates. In my free time, you can find me exploring new coffee shops, traveling, or working on fun projects!

Urmi Maitra

VP of Firm Relations

Hi, I'm Urmi! I studied Electronics and Communication Engineering along with Computer Science during my undergraduate years and spent six years in the automotive industry. I came to Tepper to deepen my understanding of business challenges and pivot into consulting, and being part of the Tepper community has been truly special. The TCC has played a crucial role in my transition to consulting, and I’m eager to give back by supporting future classes in their consulting recruitment journey. Beyond academics and career pursuits, I love dancing, meeting new people, hiking, traveling, and baking—which definitely explains my sweet tooth!

Diego Bermudez

VP of Mentorship

Hello! My name is Diego Bermudez. I am originally from Virginia and attended the University of South Carolina, where I studied supply chain and operations management. I spent six years working in logistics and operations functions, first leading CPG warehouse teams in Fort Worth, TX and Dekalb, IL before moving on to an operations role with a coffee trading company in Austin, TX. I came to Tepper to expand my analytical skill set and become a more well-rounded problem solver. TCC was instrumental in helping me navigate my consulting recruiting journey, and I am so grateful for the opportunity to be a source of support and encouragement to Tepper students over the next year while serving on the board. Outside of school, I spend my time playing soccer, reading, and hanging out with my dog.

Jake Flaherty

VP of Professional Development

Hi, I’m Jake! I grew up just outside of Pittsburgh and studied Chemical Engineering at the University of Pittsburgh. Before coming to Tepper, I worked in various chemical engineering roles—first at Sherwin-Williams in North Carolina and later at INEOS Composites in Pittsburgh. While I enjoyed my work, I came to Tepper to strengthen my business acumen and pivot into consulting. TCC has been incredibly supportive in helping me achieve my goals, and I’m excited for the opportunity to give back and support others on their consulting journeys. Outside of school, you’ll often find me playing board games, riding my bike on Pittsburgh’s trails, or hitting the tennis court!

Shirin Saunders

VP of Part-Time Engagement

Hi, I’m Shirin Saunders. Originally from India, I moved to the U.S. in 2018 to pursue my master’s in chemical engineering. With over four years of experience in the chemical industry, I recently transitioned from my role at PPG, where I worked in research and patent filing. I joined Tepper to pivot into a business-oriented role, and as a part-time student, I received incredible support from TCC throughout my recruiting journey. Now, I’m here to support others who are following a similar path. Outside of academics, I love exploring new restaurants and connecting with new people.

Brendan Walsh

VP of Operations

Hi, I’m Brendan Walsh! I’m originally from New York but grew up here in Pittsburgh. I studied Engineering at the United States Naval Academy and spent nine years in the U.S. Navy as a Tactical Aviator (think “Goose” from Top Gun). I’m passionate about mentorship and helping others grow, and I’m excited to support students as they explore careers in consulting. The support and guidance from TCC was instrumental in my own career pivot, and I’m grateful for the chance to give back. Outside of Tepper, you’ll usually find me tackling home improvement projects, learning something new, or making Costco runs with my wife.
