Why join IFC?

The Interfraternity Council (IFC) exists to advance conditions conducive to the success of its member chapters and to promote the progress of the fraternity experience. With this aim, the IFC actively encourages interfraternalism and collaboration with other fraternity/sorority governing councils and student governance bodies. Maintaining a positive working relationship and partnership with the campus administration, alumni and inter/national headquarters of member chapters is critical toward elevating the role of the IFC.

IFC applications for the 2027 term are now open, and we're looking for driven leaders ready to shape the future of Greek life at CMU. Serving on the Executive Board means stepping into real responsibility: managing recruitment, philanthropy, risk management, and chapter relations across the entire fraternity community. You'll work directly with chapter presidents, university administrators, and fellow E-board members to set the standards and direction for IFC, gaining leadership experience that goes far beyond what a single chapter role can offer.

This is a chance to build something bigger than yourself, strengthen the community that shaped your own CMU experience, and develop skills in management, communication, and strategic planning that carry well past graduation.
