How do I know which Fraternity is right for me?

We recommend you ask each chapter you visit about their values, traditions, time commitments, and more to help you decide the best fit.

Every fraternity has its own personality, values, and traditions. The best way to figure out where you feel most comfortable is to: Attend recruitment events and meet members from different chapters; Ask questions about academics, leadership, service, and social opportunities.; Notice how you feel when interacting with the members—do their values and friendships align with what you’re looking for? Trust your instincts: the right fraternity will feel like a community where you can truly be yourself. Remember, recruitment is a two-way process. Fraternities are getting to know you, but you’re also exploring where you’ll thrive.

What is the time commitment like?

Each fraternity has different time commitment requirements. The average minimum requirement per week is 2 hours for weekly chapter meetings. From there, most fraternity members find it to be very manageable alongside academics, work, and other campus involvement. membership is designed to enhance—not overwhelm—your college experience. Many members say the time they invest helps them build stronger friendships, leadership skills, and a greater connection to campus life.
