  • Academics

    The Energy and Sustainability Track combines the Tepper School’s innovative approach to business education with Carnegie Mellon’s broader energy related programs in technology, science, and policy, equipping graduates to become leaders in today’s dynamic business environment.

  • Professional Development

    The Tepper Masters Career Center is consistently ranked by Tepper School students and alumni as one of the leading MBA career centers in the world. It helps students prepare and recruit for roles in the energy and clean technology space through services such as resume reviews, role-specific coaching, and mock interviews.

    The Energy and CleanTech Club also provides resources such as a job and internship database, alumni connections, and mentorship opportunities to fully equip members with the tools needed to succeed in their careers.

  • Industry Exposure

    • The Energy and CleanTech Club invites companies and leaders in renewable development, venture capital, and more to speak on current topics and industry trends.
    • ECTC members are also actively involved in energy case competitions with other universities and organizations, including the National Energy Finance Challenge (NEFC) and MIT Energy Conference among others.
    • Career treks give members the opportunity to network with leading companies across the energy industry. Locally in Pittsburgh, students connect with organizations such as Westinghouse and Eos Energy. Past treks have also included trips to Boston and Austin, where members connected with companies like Orsted, Recurrent Energy, Schneider Electric, and others.
    • The CMU Scott Institute for Energy Innovation also hosts a Distinguished Lecture series with executives and thought leaders, to provide students with a holistic understanding of the industry's challenges and opportunities. Learn more about the CMU Scott Institute for Energy Innovation here.
