Mission
Partners Allied in Civic Engagement (PACE) is part of the civic engagement student staff housed in the office of SLICE (Office of Student Leadership, Involvement, and Civic Engagement). PACE is comprised of paid student staff members who work collaboratively with members of SLICE toward increasing participation in civic engagement activities and furthering a pervasive culture of civic engagement on campus. PACE defines civic engagement as a range of individual and/or collective efforts including but not limited to philanthropy, direct service, civic discourse, activism, and social justice towards identifying, deliberating on, and addressing issues of public concern.

Systemic issues such as racial injustice as well as inequities highlighted and exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic have come to the forefront of our communities├óÔé¼Ôäó needs. PACE is committed to galvanizing civic engagement efforts on campus to meaningfully address these needs. Social issue education and reflection are key components PACE├óÔé¼ÔäóS programming. PACE is dedicated to engaging in civic engagement efforts through the frameworks of social justice and equity.
