The Filipino Student Association aims to promote and educate people about Filipino culture. We provide a space for students to connect and bond through food, arts & crafts, karaoke, and our overall appreciation of the Philippines. Whether you are from Manila or just want to explore the culture, we hope to serve as an inclusive community for everyone to discover and celebrate what Filipino culture has to offer.
The Filipino Student Association at CMU aims to promote Filipino culture and traditions within the CMU community. We provide a supportive environment for Filipino students while sharing our rich heritage with the broader campus.
FSA hosts cultural celebrations, engaging educational workshops, and lively social events throughout the academic year. We collaborate closely with other cultural organizations at CMU and in the Pittsburgh area to foster inclusion and diversity.
Our Barkada dance team is a vibrant part of FSA that showcases traditional Filipino dances, including the iconic tinikling. The team performs at the Dancers Symposium every semester, sharing the beauty of Filipino dance with the CMU community.
Whether you are from Manila or just want to explore the culture, we welcome you to join our community! No prior knowledge of Filipino culture or language is required, just bring your enthusiasm and curiosity.
