Birding@CMU - CMU's Birding Club!

  • Overview

We’re a group of CMU students who love birds! It’s an opportunity to learn all about the different types of birds that are all around us, make lifelong friends, as well as participate in local and national bird conservation projects! Together, we’ll foster a love for birds at Carnegie Mellon and the wider Pittsburgh community! Join if you like birds, conservation, sustainability, or anything of that nature. tack follows the BEM naming convention that focusses on logical code readability that is reflected in both the HTML and CSS. Interactive elements such as accordions and tabs follow the same markup patterns making rapid development easier for developers and beginners alike.

  • What do we plan to do, when do we plan to do it?

We plan to go on regular bird walks in and around Schenley, and plan monthly outings to a different park (Frick, Duck Hollow) in conjunction with Pitt’s birding club. This way, members of both clubs can bird regularly whenever they want to, and be able to do so with friends.

In addition to that, we plan to coordinate outreach with external organizations focused on bird conservation, and give the services of our members where applicable. We also hope to encourage campus bird conservation, and outreach within CMU about birds.
