Middle School 6-Week Program Recap
We had an incredible time hosting our 6-week program for middle schoolers this semester! Our amazing participants dove into the world of coding and learned a lot along the way. Here’s a quick summary of what we accomplished:
- Program Highlights:
- Sessions Overview: Over the past six weeks, our middle schoolers dove into the world of coding with a hands-on approach. We kicked off the program with an introduction to Python and moved through foundational topics like loops, conditionals, and functions.
- Skills Learned:
- Python Basics: Students learned how to write Python programs, understand syntax, and use variables, loops, and functions to create simple programs.
- Problem-Solving: They honed their ability to think critically and break down coding problems into manageable parts, a key skill for any coder.
- Collaboration: Working in pairs or small teams, students learned how to collaborate on coding challenges and share ideas.
We are so proud of the growth our participants showed during these six weeks and can’t wait to see what they create next! Below are some pictures from the program:
