Welcome Back!

We hope everyone had a restful Spring Break! Thank you to everyone who attended our events at the beginning of the semester!

Looking ahead AHS will be offering speaker events on Chat GPT and Disinformation, Human Rights, and Diversity in Foreign Services. Speakers will include Ambassador Derek Mitchell, Professor Don Holmes, and Beth Jameson. Please let us know if you have any questions. We are excited to see you all at our upcoming events!

Thank you,
AHS Exec

Thank you for joining us!

Thanks to everyone who joined us for our events in the first half of the semester! To recap: we kicked things off with a Resume Workshop led by CMIST Professor Bartos. She offered invaluable advice and provided individual reviews to help us showcase our hard work and accomplishments for future opportunities and employers. We also had a blast welcoming new members at our Open House! We hope everyone got a good sense of what AHS is all about. And to finish the first half of the semester, we hosted a Roundtable Event with Professor Arana where he led a fascinating discussion on the 1973 Chilean Coup, especially significant as 2023 marked its 50th anniversary. Once again, a big thank you to everyone who attended our events so far! We can't wait to see you at our upcoming events!

Upcoming Events

This month, we have three exciting events lined up for you!

AHS is thrilled to welcome Ambassador Derek Mitchell later this month for a speaker event centered around his work and human rights. Additionally, we will be hosting a lecture event with Professor Don Holmes on Diversity in Foreign Services. And last but not least, we'll be hosting an in-house lecture on ChatGPT and Disinformation. More details to come; please be sure to stay up to date on our newsletter and on our Instagram!

The Carnegie Mellon University Chapter of the Alexander Hamilton Society is a student-run organization that is a part of a larger organization of students, faculty, national policy leaders, and captains of finance and industry. The society seeks to develop the next generation of American leaders, initially through discussions and forums on campus, then to intellectual and professional development that will launch Hamiltonians into careers of public service, academia, and business.
