Agenda
Upcoming Events
10:00 AM – 1:00 PM
POGOH's annual Le Tour de Donut!
1:00 PM – 3:00 PM
Join us as we learn about the history of transit in PA through a guided tour of the Pennsylvania Trolley Museum! Experience a ride on a real trolley and walk through history. This is an opportunity you don't want to miss, especially if you don't own a car. This is a steal-- a rideshare would be >$100 per person!
We have to charge a small amount to cover the cost of the bus there and back, as the museum is not transit-accessible and I assume most people attending this event do not own a car. If you would like to attend but are not able to pay this price, please reach out to me (driyer@andrew.cmu.edu) and we can figure something out!
If you have accessibility needs, please let me know via email as well. Unfortunately, we are chartering a school bus as it was the only option, and it is not wheelchair-accessible. We are very sorry for any inconvenience.
4:00 PM – 5:00 PM
Join us for our first workshop, “OpenStreetMap Club: Making maps with OSMnx and NetworkX,” and discover how to transform raw geospatial data into interactive maps that reveal urban accessibility. Using Pittsburgh park and street network data, we show you how to compute reachable areas on foot. Through practical Python examples, learn to harness OSMnx and NetworkX for innovative visualizations from OpenStreetMap data. Ideal for any urbanists and curious beginners. Mark your calendar for Sunday, April 27, 2025, 4–5 PM. Location TBD.
7:00 PM – 9:00 PM
Registration is now OPEN!
We found a bug in the system where it will only let you get one ticket at a time. For now, if you would like multiple tickets, please fill out the registration multiple times using the same email address. A donation is not expected for each ticket.
Join CMU Transportation Club as we host Ray Delahanty, better known as CityNerd, to discuss Pittsburgh urbanism and some key takeaways from his time here in the city. We will also use this opportunity to discuss the work of other local organizations, and the work they are doing to make our city a more livable one.

Take a ride on the T (Pittsburgh's light rail system) and learn about the history of Pittsburgh Regional Transit as part of our weekend of urbanism. We will be joined by experts from PRT to discuss all things transit!
IMPORTANT: we will meet at Steel Plaza Station in downtown at 3 PM. We will take the Red or Blue line to the South Hills Station, and take the other line back. This will take approximately 2 hours. We will be on an in-service car, so please be mindful of others on their commutes.
