Did you know that you could be fired just for being LGBT? - We are so proud that we, as a country, have made so much progress with LGBT equality. Yet in Pennsylvania and 28 other states, you could be fired simply for being lesbian, gay, or bisexual. If you are transgender, you could be fired in 34 states. These statistics are familiar to active allies, but may not be as familiar to our passive allies and neutral classmates.
It's only $15 to join Out & Allied - We are making it easier than ever to become a member of Out & Allied. Memberships for all students of the class 2016 will be at a discounted rate of $15 until graduation. We are committed to bringing you events that are both fun and educational so that we can help you easily become an active ally for those in your life that may be LGBT. Take a look at the events that we have planned with a couple happening next week!
Updates from that Ally Challenge survey - We are also happy to share that within 4 days of the Friend Factor Ally Challenge, we have 90 completed surveys, equal to 21% of our school population. (We're better than Harvard and Duke!) Being an Out & Allied member will continue to help us promote Tepper as one of the most welcoming and integrated MBA programs for LGBT students.

Monday, April 27 - Volunteering at Persad's Art Auction - Out & Allied and Tepper Cares are going to volunteer at an Art Auction! Join us as we get ritzy for a night. The event will have fine catering. See information in the link below. tinyurl.com/ow67bka
Tuesday 5:30 PM, April 28 - Coming Out Stories - Join us for Coming Out Stories. It is an event for LGBTQ people to share their stories and for Allies to show their support for a diverse and acceptive community. Everyone is welcome!
Saturday, August 29 - Welcome BBQ with Out & Allied and The Culinary Club - We're partnering with The Culinary Club next year for our annual Welcome BBQ. Please join us if you are in town early enough before the first day of classes.
October 5-8 - Coming Out Week - We're planning on kicking off Coming Out Week with B**rs. We'll bring in some new people to share their Coming Out stories as well as some fun educational workshops like "Inclusive Leadership" and "Trans 101."
October 8-10 - Reaching Out MBA Conference
November 14-15 - oSTEM National Conference
