Our Mission
The Tepper Marketing Club strives to serve and engage the Tepper community at Carnegie Mellon through education, career and networking initiatives.
Education: Improve knowledge about marketing by prodiving a breadth of events that introduce people to marketing skills, concepts and tools.
Career: Assist students in their pursuit of marketing careers by educating them about the different marketing career opportunities across different industries. Provide guidance in their intership and career search through partnership with the COC, mock interviews, interview database and other initiatives.
Network: Develop relationships between students interested in marketing and marketing experts such as faculty, business leaders, and alumni through meetings and other events.
The Marketing Club is actively involved in Welcome Weekend at Tepper. Every year, the Marketing Club has an exciting booth with officers present to welcome prospective students and answer any questions they might have. During Basecamp (orientation before the academic year starts) the annual Marketing Boot Camp hosted by the club provides an in-depth look into what marketing is all about, the career options within marketing, how to prepare for case interviews along with plenty of experiential knowledge from 2nd years to help guide incoming students! The Marketing Club also organizes an annual Marketing Trek in NYC where students have the opportunity to visit numerous companies, learn about the corporate cultures and career opportunities at those companies and network with Tepper alumni and corporate partners. Previous treks included various company hosts such as Google, American Express, Chobani, Samsung, and Diageo.
