FSL Community Recruitment 2023

The community has concluded their recruitment efforts for the Fall 2023. A small group of community leaders and SLICE staff planned throughout the summer to create a presence for Fraternity and Sorority Life throughout New Student Orientation and the start of the semester. We congratulate each council on their efforts and aim to highlight them below!
FSL Block Party
The FSL Block Party returned for its second year as a community-wide recruitment event on September 9! This event rounded off two weeks of programming from the Community Recruitment Committee. Thank you to all of the organizations and leaders who participated in making this event successful!

Multicultural Greek Council
The Multicultural Greek Council concluded its recruitment process on 9/12/2023. Over a two-week process, the three fraternities and sororities held events to highlight their unique values and how they express their cultural interests. Between Kappa Phi Lambda and Lambda Phi Epsilon, 11 neophytes have started their journey with MGC. Be on the lookout for MGC Convocation to celebrate these neos later in October!
Panhellenic Council
The Panhellenic Community welcomed 81 new members to their community. Their council had Panhellenic Sorority Recruitment (PSR), a structured recruitment process designed for potential new members to meet all the Panhellenic sororities. Leading up to PSR, Panhellenic painted the fence, hosted tabling, and conducted a PSR info session to hype up the Panhellenic experience. PSR was led by Vice President of Recruitment, Maragaret He, and Vice President of Recruitment Programs, Lindsay Lamberti, the entire Panhellenic executive board, and 18 caring recruitment counselors. This year recruitment counselors had regular check-ins with potential new members leading up to recruitment.
Here are some statistics from this year's PSR:
- 72% matriculated to the final stages of recruitment compared to 69% (2022) and 68% (2021)
- 68% of potential new members were placed into sororities compared to 61% (2022) and 62% (2021)
- Total (maximize allowed chapter size) was calculated by Largest Chapter Size and is now 83 - the highest it has been in the last several years!
PSR concluded with Bid Day under the lights at Gesling Stadium.
Welcome to all our new members of the community!
