Welcome to CMU Fencing!

We are excited to welcome all the new members and look forward to a great year of fencing! Below are some announcements to get us started and things to look forward to from the executive board.

Fall 2026 Practice Information

• Tuesday: 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM (Structured Practice), 9:00 PM - 10:00 PM (Open Bouting)
• Thursday: 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM (Structured Practice), 9:00 PM - 10:00 PM (Open Bouting)
• Saturday: 12:00 PM - 3:00 PM (Open Bouting)

• Practices between our first practice (08/25) and The Fair (09/03) will be for experienced fencers; this includes returning members and new members with experience.
• For those who are new to fencing, your first practice will be on Thursday, September 3rd. Feel free to bring a friend along! We are planning a social event after practice as well :) This practice is specifically focused on teaching new members! We also encourage experienced members to show up and meet all our new members.

Communications - Join the Discord

• Most of our real-time announcements are made through Discord. This includes changes in practice schedules, sign-ups for tournaments, equipment orders, etc. You can also ask questions about fencing and upcoming events or chat with others in the club.
• Emails are primarily used for broader, larger announcements and updates - they will be sent rather infrequently.

Waivers

As a member of a CMU Club Sport, the waivers below are mandatory to fill out in order to participate. Please fill them out as soon as possible!
