About Us

Whether you're an experienced debater or you've never seen a podium before, CMU Debate is the premier place to sharpen your argumentative ability and learn how to think critically. We compete in the American Parliamentary Debate Association (APDA) against other schools around the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic, and we also host weekly practices for our club members.

We meet weekly on Thursdays at 6 PM in Posner 151, excluding school breaks.

Note: CMU Debate does not participate in high school recruiting. CMU Debate cannot advocate for high schoolers in the admissions process.
