Join the CMU Ballroom Dance Club for Carnegie Classic 2026, our annual USA Dance-sanctioned all-ages collegiate ballroom dance competition!
On Saturday, October 10, dancers from CMU and across the region will take the floor in Standard, Smooth, Latin, and Rhythm events, with levels ranging from Newcomer through Championship. The matinee session will feature Newcomer through Gold, followed by Novice, Pre-Championship, and Championship events in the evening.
Spectator admission is completely free, and no ballroom experience is needed. Stop by for a few heats or stay all day to enjoy the music, costumes, athleticism, and excitement of competitive ballroom dancing!
Carnegie Classic Weekend will also include the Starlight Soiree Social Dance on Friday, October 9, and a ballroom workshop on Sunday, October 11. Additional information and the final competition schedule will be announced closer to the event.
