The Butterfly Lovers (ARCC Spring Theatre)

Join us for a captivating English theatrical performance of Butterfly Lovers (梁山伯與祝英臺 / 梁山伯与祝英台), one of China’s most cherished and enduring love stories.

Often described as the “Chinese Romeo and Juliet,” this timeless legend follows Liang Shanbo and Zhu Yingtai, bright and spirited young women who disguise themselves as men to pursue education. Along the journey, friendship and companionship blossom into love.

Through exquisite costumes, stirring music, and poetic storytelling, this performance brings to life a tale of devotion, sacrifice, and the enduring power of love beyond circumstance.

Featuring performances by ARCC Chinese Dance Club, Ballroom Dance Club, and KPDC, experience a story that has moved hearts for centuries: a legend where love takes flight.

The performance is in English. No knowledge of the Chinese language is required to watch.
